2. How We Use Information

- Conduct anti-money laundering, sanctions, transaction-monitoring, and other compliance checks.

- Maintain and improve the security and reliability of our services.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, and law-enforcement requirements.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Notify users about material service or policy changes.
We process information only where reasonably necessary for these purposes or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
3. Service Providers and Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information where necessary to operate Volt Pay or comply with applicable requirements.
Recipients may include:
- Reap Technologies Limited and its card-issuing, processing, compliance, and service partners.
- Sumsub and other identity-verification providers.
- Fireblocks and providers involved in digital-asset wallet infrastructure.
- Google, including services such as Firebase and Google Cloud Platform, where used for application infrastructure, security, analytics, notifications, or related functions.
- SMS, communications, hosting, security, analytics, and technology providers.
- Card networks, processors, financial institutions, and other parties involved in processing card transactions.
- Blockchain analytics, fraud-prevention, sanctions-screening, or compliance providers.
- Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and service providers where reasonably necessary.
- Courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, government authorities, or other persons where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
We do not sell personal information as a standalone commercial product.
4. International Processing and Data Transfers
BlockNest Inc. is registered in Samoa.
Because Volt Pay uses international technology, compliance, payment, card, and infrastructure providers, personal information may be processed or stored in Samoa and in other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.
Data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from those in your country.
Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable measures to protect personal information transferred internationally.
5. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide Volt Pay services.
- Maintain security and prevent fraud.
- Meet KYC, AML, sanctions, accounting, tax, regulatory, and other legal obligations.
- Resolve transactions, refunds, disputes, and complaints.
- Establish or defend legal claims.
When information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymise it.
Closing or deleting a Volt Pay account does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of all associated records. Information that must be retained for legal, regulatory, anti-money laundering, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or similar purposes may be retained for the applicable required period.
6. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account through the account-deletion function within the Volt Pay app.
Before an account can be deleted:
- All remaining supported digital assets must be withdrawn.
- The account must have no remaining balance.
- Pending transactions, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, or other unresolved obligations may need to be completed or resolved.
When account deletion is completed:
- The Volt Pay account will be disabled.
- Associated active cards will be cancelled.
- The user will no longer be able to log in.
- Personal information will be deleted or anonymised where appropriate, except for information that we are required or permitted to retain.
Account deletion is irreversible.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, organisational, and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption, monitoring, secure infrastructure, and specialised third-party security providers.
No internet, mobile, blockchain, or information-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to:
- Request access to information held about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of eligible personal information.
- Request information about how your data is used or disclosed.
- Exercise other privacy rights available under applicable law.
Some requests may be restricted where we are required to retain information for KYC, AML, fraud-prevention, transaction, legal, regulatory, or dispute-resolution purposes.
We may need to verify your identity before processing a privacy request.
9. Children
Volt Pay is intended only for persons aged 18 or older.
We do not knowingly offer Volt Pay accounts to persons under 18.
10. Third-Party Services
Volt Pay relies on third-party services and infrastructure. Those providers may process information under their own applicable privacy terms and legal obligations.
Volt Pay is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or services that are outside our control.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Volt Pay, legal requirements, service providers, or our data practices.
Where a change is material, we may provide notice through the app or another appropriate method.
The updated Privacy Policy will apply from the effective date stated in the revised version.
